Victoria Kelly
Victoria Kelly earned her Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. During her time at Ave Maria Law, Ms. Kelly served as Vice President of the Moot Court Board and Vice President of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. She competed in numerous internal and national moot court competitions, including the 2023 New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition, the oldest and most prestigious moot court competition in the country, where she earned a perfect oral advocacy score in one of the semi-final rounds. She also participated in the Tulane International Baseball Arbitration Competition, arguing on behalf of Major League Baseball players’ salaries before leading sports executives across the country.
Ms. Kelly was a finalist in the St. Thomas More 1L Oral Advocacy Competition and secured a defense verdict in her 3L Trial Advocacy Mock Trial as civil defense co-counsel. In addition to advocacy, she served as a contributing writer for The Gavel, Ave Maria’s Moot Court publication, focusing on Artificial Intelligence Law and Election Law.
As one of nine students selected for the Ave Maria Veterans & Servicemembers Clinic, Ms. Kelly provided pro bono legal services to U.S. veterans and later interned with the 20th Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office, where she assisted clients in the Veterans and Mental Health Treatment Court of Collier County. Her commitment to clinical service earned her the St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Award, presented at graduation by the Academic Dean to the student with the most outstanding performance in Ave Maria’s clinical programs.
Ms. Kelly received the Merit Scholarship and was a CALI Excellence for the Future Award recipient in Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research for achieving the highest grade in the course. She also served as coordinator for the 2024 and 2025 Annual Moot Court Banquets and helped bring top judges and attorneys from Southwest Florida to campus on numerous occasions.
Her further practical experience includes working as a summer law clerk at a plaintiff’s personal injury firm in Chicago, focusing on medical malpractice and aviation law, and clerking for Judge Joseph Tompkins in Florida’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Kelly graduated cum laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Spanish. While at Syracuse, she organized the Annual Syracuse University Charity Sports Auction from 2018 to 2020, benefiting various Upstate New York charities.
