Angelica L. Novick is an experienced and broad-based litigator who represents individuals and entities in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration.
Immediately prior to joining the firm Ms. Novick was Senior Counsel at one of the largest multi-national law firms in the country (Am Law 50). In that capacity, Ms. Novick represented clients throughout the United States in high-stakes and complex commercial litigation disputes and arbitrations, as well as in government enforcement actions and investigations. Ms. Novick is a versatile attorney and has the demonstrated ability to master diverse subject matters. Ms. Novick has experience litigating matters involving non-competes and trade secrets, breaches of contract, fraud, interference with contracts and business relationships, intellectual property disputes, breaches of fiduciary duty, the False Claims Act, franchisor-franchisee disputes, employment litigation (including whistleblower retaliation claims under state and federal law), and corporate governance and related disputes. Ms. Novick also has significant trial experience in both state and federal courts.
Ms. Novick received her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, Ms. Novick worked as a judicial intern to the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida. In that capacity, Ms. Novick obtained invaluable insight into the inner workings of a federal district court through her work researching and briefing contested legal issues, presenting written and oral analyses and recommendations, and drafting proposed opinions for publication. Ms. Novick was also a research assistant to Vice Dean Patrick O. Gudridge, and served as the executive editor of The Inter-American Law Review. Ms. Novick received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Miami.
