Matthew K. Casbarro is an associate attorney at The Ferraro Law Firm representing victims in cases involving product liability, wrongful death, asbestos-related diseases, and environmental toxic torts. Mr. Casbarro is also heavily involved in the firm’s commercial litigation practice and represents clients in all forms of commercial litigation including partnership disputes, commercial real estate disputes, breach of contract disputes, and business torts from prelitigation strategy through trial.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Casbarro worked at an Am law 200 law firm based in Miami, Florida. In that capacity, Mr. Casbarro represented plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes and complex commercial litigation disputes, with an emphasis on commercial real estate disputes, fraud, and breach of contract.
Mr. Casbarro has published in the American Health Law Association’s monthly Health Law Connections magazine, where he co-authored a paper on the opioid epidemic, titled “Professional Actions Against Physicians for Opioid Prescribing Behaviors.”
Mr. Casbarro earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, books awards in Torts, Civil Procedure, and Legal Writing and Communication, served as Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review, and worked as a teaching assistant for Professor Anthony Alfieri’s Civil Procedure I class. During law school, Mr. Casbarro worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable Jose E. Martinez in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where he conducted complex legal research on contested legal issues, drafted multiple proposed opinions for publication, and gained invaluable insight into the operations of both the federal district court and the federal appellate court. Mr. Casbarro obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology and Society (pre-med), and received a business minor from Cornell University, where he also competed as a four-year member of the nationally ranked Division I Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field program.
Mr. Casbarro is admitted to practice in Florida.
