The Ferraro Law Firm is a rapidly expanding mid-sized plaintiff personal injury firm, actively seeking an organized and precise Accounting Clerk that will report directly to the Controller. Our firm is conveniently located in the vibrant Brickell financial district of Miami, Florida.
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for handling a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks for the firm. Also, providing accounting and clerical support to the accountingdepartment and other administrative duties as assigned. Law Firm experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in Accounting, Finance or similar from an accredited college or universityor equivalency (BA is preferred)
- 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliation or related tasks
- Strong Excel knowledge and QuickBooks proficiency to compile and analyze financial
information - Working knowledge of cash management products and services
- Process-oriented mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills and high-level data entry capabilities
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Must be detail oriented
Requirements:
- Bank reconciliation of trusts, operating, and costs accounts.
- Resolve discrepancies of check disbursement information
- Communicate directly with clients and/or relatives regarding uncashed checks
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize payment delays related to probate or Medicare lien resolution
- Maintain integrity and accuracy in all financial transactions and reports
- Filing and recordkeeping of accounting documents
- Other duties may be assigned
Work Location: This role is based in-office.
